Hotels in Gaiole in Chianti

We have an agreement with the Gaiole in Chianti Tourism office where you can rent the Vespa. There is free parking where you can leave your car for the day, or even for several days. The office is located at 50 Piazza Ricasoli (on Google maps it is listed as Via Bettino Ricasoli), which is the main piazza of the village of Gaiole in Chianti. The office is located next to a bar/cafe/trattoria called “Lo Sfizio di Bianchi” which has a wooden pergola type covered terrace/dining area on the piazza. You can’t miss it.

Travelling to Gaiole by bus from Siena
There are several departures per day (weekdays) from Siena Train station. Bus No. 127.
Departs 07:05, 12:50, 14:00, 14:15, 17:50. Travel time is 45 – 50 minutes.
Return from Gaiole: 06:55, 07:50, 14:00, 15:05. The bus company is for some reason called TRAIN, which of course leads to much confusion! Anyway, you can buy tickets from the train station for the TRAIN autobus.

Travelling to Gaiole by bus from Florence
There is one weekday departure from the Florence SITA bus station which is located across the street from the main Florence train station (Santa Maria Novella). It leaves at 13:55 and arrives directly to Gaiole at about 15:00.
