Tuscany Driving Hints and Tips
To help make your experience as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible, we will provide you with a fact-sheet detailing practical hints and tips to help you navigate your way around Tuscany more easily.

Note: You don’t need a motorbike license to rent a 125cc Vespa in Italy. However, you must already be a safe, competent scooter rider. If you have no previous experience successfully riding a scooter or motorbike we would rather you didn’t rent with us since we don’t want anyone to get hurt. Try one at home first, so you know whether or not you can safely drive a scooter. We just want everyone to have a safe and happy holiday!

Logistics
We started Tuscany Scooter Rental to offer people the quintessential Italian experience of driving a Vespa along Tuscany’s gorgeous country roads and exploring its timeless hilltop villages. Call it “the Audrey Hepburn” or just “too cool,” riding our bright-red classically-styled Vespas will be an experience you will never forget. All of our Vespas are the late model Vespa LX 125. The 125cc engine has enough power to carry you effortlessly over the rolling Tuscan hills. The Vespas are of course checked and serviced regularly. With Tuscany Scooter Rental you get a truly memorable experience, not just a rental Vespa. When you reserve with us you gain access to our knowledge of the best roads, the most scenic routes, and recommendations about what to see and do, even where to have the best cappuccino, gelato, or long leisurely lunch. After all, we live here! We speak fluent Italian, English, and French.

Pick up your Vespa in Gaiole in Chianti
Our agency is located in the picturesque village of Gaiole in Chianti, in the heart of the famous Chianti wine-growing region. Head north and visit the villages of Radda, Panzano, and Greve in Chianti, head west for Castellina, Siena, San Gimignano or even Volterra. Head south through the Crete Senesi to the villages of Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino. Head east for Prada, Gucci, Ferragamo and other outlet shopping!

Logistics
By Car:  You can drive to Gaiole in Chianti and leave your car in the free public parking, or have someone drive your car back for you if you intend to be out for a longer time. Walk into the main piazza of the village (Gaiole is small) to the local Tourism Office where you fill out the papers etc, and then you hop on your Vespa scooter.

We can pick you up or deliver your Vespa to you!
Yes, we offer door-to-door service! With advance notice and depending on availability, we can either pick you up from your hotel or rental property, or bring your Vespa to you. A supplemental fee will apply. Replacement In the unlikely event that you experience a problem with your Vespa, we promise to provide a replacement Vespa as quickly as possible.
