Scooter Rental Prices

For reservations please contact us at: info@charnestours.com. Rental periods for 1 day is morning pick up, return by 18:00.

Prices Include
Third party liability insurance as required by Italian law, helmet, wet weather gear.

Additional Insurance
Reduce the insurance excess (deductible) from €2,500 to €300 for an extra €10 per day.

Special Conditions

• Renter must be over 18 years old
• Renter must have held a valid drivers license (a motorcycle license is not required).
• Renter must provide a valid credit card number

Credit Card Payment
A credit card payment is required to confirm your reservation with Tuscany Scooter Rental.

Terms of Deposit
Full refund if canceled with more than 14 days notice, 50% refund if canceled with 7-14 days notice. No refund if less than 7 days notice is given

The rental period for one day is morning pick up 9:00 am (or earlier if requested) and return by 18:00. If the scooter is returned later than the time on the rental agreement, an additional day will be debited from the credit card. The Vespa will be delivered with with a full tank of fuel. The renter is required to return the Vespa with a full tank of fuel, otherwise €15 will be debited from the credit card.

The renter is responsible for:

• All fuel during the period of the rental
• All fines received during the rental period including driving and parking
• All accessories provided, (e.g. helmets, and wet weather gear). If anything is damaged, lost, or not in proper working order, the following will be debited from the credit card: helmet €100 (note: insurance does not cover helmets).

The renter will forfeit the entire value of the Vespa if the Vespa is stolen.

If the Vespa is damaged or not returned in the condition in which it was delivered, then a commensurate charge will be made to cover the cost of repairs.

• The renter will forfeit €60 for a punctured tire
• The renter will forfeit €100 if helmet is damaged, lost or stolen.

At the end of the rental agreement:

• Where the renter is required to pay Tuscany Scooter Rental, any money owed will be taken from the credit card
• Where the renter is not required to pay any additional money to Tuscany Scooter Rental, the credit card number will be immediately destroyed

Insurance
Tuscany Scooter Rental has full insurance on all of its Vespas. The standard excess (deductible) is €2,500, which may be reduced to €300 by purchasing additional insurance at €10 per day. This option must be taken prior to the start of the rental. The renter is covered by Tuscany Scooter Rental insurance where the renter complies with all terms and conditions. If the Vespa is lost or stolen the renter must immediately notify the police and Tuscany Scooter Rental. The renter is responsible for notifying Tuscany Scooter Rental immediately if the Vespa is involved in an accident. Within 3 days of the accident the renter will provide Tuscany Scooter Rental a copy of the police report along with a detailed description of the events. The renter is required to provide all assistance required by Tuscany Scooter Rental to enable the completion of any police or insurance forms. Failure to do so leaves the renter liable for any additional costs to Tuscany Scooter Rental. The renter must have a valid drivers license, and will show this to Tuscany Scooter Rental at time of rental. Failure to do so invalidates Tuscany Scooter Rental’s insurance policy and the renter becomes solely liable.f

General Conditions

• Only the individual noted on the rental agreement may operate the Vespa.
• By executing the rental agreement the renter acknowledges: the Vespa and accessories are in good working order
• The Vespa is in the condition as described in the rental agreement (any reservations are noted in the appropriate section of the rental agreement); and they have been given a photocopy of the Vespa’s registration details and insurance certificate by Tuscany Scooter Rental which must be presented to authorities upon request. Failure to present these documents on request may incur liabilities from authorities. The renter indemnifies Tuscany Scooter Rental from these liabilities.

The renter is responsible for conducting basic maintenance checks on the Vespa for the period of the rental, including but not limited to:

• Tire pressure
• Oil level

The vehicle will:

• only be driven on designated roads (no autostrada, no highways, no farm tracks, no gravel roads unsuited to Vespas)
• not be driven by any person other than the named renter.

Failure to follow these restrictions will make the renter solely liable for any damage or theft to the Vespa.


The renter is responsible for holding the appropriate level of travel and or life insurance. Riding a scooter can be dangerous and the renter should make an informed decision before hiring.
