Charnes Tours LLC is based in Denver, Colorado. The company was founded in 2000 by David Charnes.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create unique active travel experiences that are flexible, thought provoking, culturally enriching, and competitively priced. Since the company's inception we have focused on Italy. This specialization has allowed us to become experts on Italy. We know the towns, accommodations, restaurants, sights, and roads. Our Italian tours reflect this knowledge base.

To meet the needs of a diverse clientele we run both self-guided and guided tours. We do both cycling and hiking trips. While most tours are in Italy we do run a limited number of trips in other European countries.

About David Charnes
David was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and moved to Italy after University. He has lived in Florence, Italy since 1989. Before starting Charnes Tours David worked for other bicycle touring companies. David is fluent in Italian, an expert on travel in Italy, and an active cyclist. He personally designs every tour.
